He recently joined Interactions Corp as Vice President of Speech Research when Interactions acquired the Watson speech technology from AT&T. He previously served as Speech Research Director at AT&T Labs, Lucent Speech Solutions CTO, Fonix Corp. CTO, SpeechPhone Inc. CTO, and SpinVox Inc. Speech Technology SVP. He has 11 patents and 30 published speech technology papers.

Jordi Torras is the CEO and Founder of Inbenta, a company that specializes in natural language processing and semantic search to improve the customer experience. Jordi started his entrepreneurial career in 1997 with his brother. Together they founded SBD in Barcelona, a professional services firm with over 200 consultants by 2004 and was acquired by the French firm Alten Technologies. Jordi then founded Inbenta in 2005 to help companies improve online relationships with their customers. In 2012, Jordi moved to California to continue the rapid growth of Inbenta. Jay is one of the world’s pioneers and chief evangelist, for speech and language technologies and services. Jay has authored over 100 publications and patents. He has been a leading innovator for a number of advanced voice enabled services throughout his career, including AT&T’s How May I Help You? (HMIHY) – the first nationwide deployment of a true human-like spoken language understanding based service. Dr. Moshe Yudkowsky has twenty years of experience in product development in high-technology industries. Dr. Yudkowsky is president of Disaggregate Corporation , a consulting company that helps companies create, understand, and apply revolutionary technology. He is author of “The Pebble and the Avalanche: How Taking Things Apart Creates Revolutions” (Berrett-Koehler, 2005). He specializes in consulting and education for a particular high-tech industry: speech recogntion, text-to-speech, and biometrics. Dr. Yudkowsky received his Ph.D. in Physics from Northwestern University; he joined Bell Laboratories in 1987. At Bell Labs, Dr. Yudkowsky worked on several large-scale deployments of speech recognition applications, with responsibilities ranging from architecture to DSP development to application design. Dr. Yudkowsky joined Dialogic Corp. in 1996 to nurture speech development (Dialogic was purchased by Intel in 1999). Dr. Yudkowsky left Dialogic/Intel in 2002 to found Disaggregate. Dr. Yudkowsky was editor of the ECTF’s Automatic Speech Recognition Task Group for over a decade, and served as Technical Chair of the ECTF in 2001. He was a board member of AVIOS, a national organization that promotes speech technology. In 2002, he became the first Chair of the Midwest Speech Technology Association, an organization of speech technology professionals.
